Once upon a time I had really bad adult acne. I purchased Dr. Perricone’s The Clear Skin Prescription book and my skin cleared up a lot! Now that I’m older and have a few wrinkles and fine lines I want to work on, I’m excited to try Perricone MD’s line of anti-aging products. Perricone MD’s Cold Plasma Plus Face has great reviews on the website, and since I’ve had a good experience using his products in the past, I wasn’t too broken up about spending $149.00 on this cream. I didn’t order this on the website, I picked this up at Sephora since I had to get new perfume and lipstick.

First Impression: It comes in a jar. This is so disappointing. But I’m going to look passed this because I’m very excited about using this cream. Oh and about that, it’s not a cream. It’s more of a serum/gel like texture. It’s not sticky at all. It doesn’t have any fragrance.

Day 1: The instructions clearly state this product is to be followed up with a moisturizer. The serum is lightweight and absorbed quickly into my skin. It felt cool and tingly, it gave a feeling that it was working. I can’t explain it! It didn’t leave a sheen or any residue behind. I wear sunscreen everyday, so I applied Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream with SPF 30. Later that evening I washed my face and applied my Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturizer on top.

Day 7: I have tanned/olive skin so I tend to get dark spots and freckles when I’m in the sun for too long. Even with sunscreen. This treatment has helped diminish the look of a few dark spots, and even some acne scarring. Nothing yet on the wrinkle front, but I’m seeing good changes. Let’s not act like dark spots don’t make us look older. So far I’m happy.

Day 14: I’m starting to notice a difference around my eyes. My wrinkles haven’t disappeared but they look “softer”. My makeup doesn’t seem to settle in the lines as much as it used to. My dark spots are looking so much lighter! I can’t believe the difference. This serum should be marketed as a dark-spot remover firstly!

Day 30: I’m both happy and disappointed with my purchase. I’m almost done with the jar. My skin looks much clearer, with an even-looking tone. I look like I got a peel done. I don’t have to wear concealer anymore to cover up dark spots. Alas, I can’t say much about my wrinkles. After 30 days, there’s not much of an improvement.

Final Thoughts: This is a really good product. Maybe it’s not the best for wrinkles and fine lines, but it did make me look younger. My skin-tone looks even, the look of my dark-spots has diminished significantly. Cold Plasma Plus Face is great for people suffering from skin discoloration, redness and just dull skin overall. My friends and family asked me if I had a facial done or something. So while this may not get rid of your wrinkles and fine lines, it can give you a nice even tone and glow.
